DISSH Armadale
Dissh Armadale is a project that balances a restrained palette against an assemblage of earthen materiality and form. With a focus on feminine detailing, the project is both universally inviting and also intimate. A dollhouse along Armadale’s High St.
Once the site of an old, dilapidated dry cleaners situated centrally on High St Armadale, the Dissh project required complete gutting of the interior and facade. A large window with a fiberglass pendant by local designer Amy Vidler, watches over the street, casting a soft glow at night.
Dissh Armadale is a project that honours the muted palette that the client’s brand encompasses, but also challenges the typical minimalist dogma, with graphic angles and planes, contrasting textures and unexpected material installation.
